Natalie Tysdal possesses more than 20 years of experience telling stories as an award-winning television producer, news reporter and anchor in markets throughout the United States. Her abilities to capture the essential facts, emotions and drama of a story are equally on display whether she’s reporting from the site of a major hurricane, moderating a high-stakes political debate or uncovering the personality of a major political figure or Hollywood star. Over the years, Natalie’s work has been recognized with numerous awards for features, medical and investigative reporting, including being honored with the 2013 Emmy Award for breaking news coverage of the Aurora Theater shootings in Colorado. Most recently, Natalie worked in Denver as the anchor of KWGN-TV’s Emmy Award-winning “Daybreak” morning news program, as well as the host of KDVR-TV’s “Everyday” news and entertainment show.
Natalie began her career as a photographer and editor while attending the school of Journalism at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. With a degree in broadcasting and minors in history, political science and psychology, she worked both behind the camera as a producer and eventually in front of the camera as on-air reporter and anchor.
As President of Everwise Entertainment, Natalie brings a reporter’s eye and mindset to every production and serves as a creative decision-maker behind each production’s focus, direction and overall approach. During her time away from the camera, Natalie spends a great deal of time in the community, volunteering and speaking to charitable groups. Outside journalism, her passion is working with kids. She founded a committee that proposed and developed a new elementary magnet school in Colorado with a focus on critical thinking and responsible citizenship.
